Description: A non-greasy, highly-absorbent oil that's pressed from the seeds of the apricot fruit. High levels of unsaturated fatty acids gives it a light texture. It's considered a versatile oil that's great for all skin types.
Usage: We use it as a skin conditioner
INCI: Prunus armeniaca (apricot) kernel oil
Description: Derived from pressed argan seeds. Known for its anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties, argan oil is prized for being rich in linoleic acid, phytosterols and squalene. It is popularly used in products for mature skin. We source our argan oil from a women-run cooperative in Morocco.

Description: Artichokes originally grew in the Mediterranean and have been used for centuries for its potential medicinal benefits. Its rich polyphenol content may help to control the skin's inflammatory response.

Description: A powdery starch produced from the tubers of arrowroot plants

Description: Fat-soluble form of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and is derived from corn or palm oil

Description: An edible brown algae and is is the second most abundant brown alga along the western coast of the Baja California Peninsula of Mexico. It has moisturizing properties to support the skin's natural moisture barrier.
Usage: We use it as a skin conditioner

Description: A herbaceous plant that grows natively in South West Asia. It is cold-pressed from black seeds and widely used in traditional medicine. Its main constituent, thymoquinone, contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Usage: We use it as an emollient
INCI: Nigella sativa (black cumin) oil
Description: Beta-carotene is part of the deeply pigmented carotenoid family. It has excellent antioxidant properties. It prevents and controls the production of free radicals and also reduces oxidative/free radicals-induced damage.

Description: Betaine is found naturally in the body. For skincare, betaine is produced by making sugar out of sugar beets or sugar cane.

Description: A clear, odorless, slightly sweet tasting liquid that's synthetically derived. Helps to moisturize the skin for a hydrated appearance.

Description: An aromatic carboxylic acid that's naturally present in plant and animal tissues. Commonly used as antibacterial and antifungal preservatives and flavoring agents in food, cosmetic, hygiene, and pharmaceutical products.

Description: An aromatic, organic alcohol that functions as a solvent, fragrance component or preservative. Benzyl alcohol is produced naturally by many plants and is commonly found in fruits and teas. It is also found in a variety of essential oils.

Description: An aromatic oil that comes from marigold flowers that's been macerated in sunflower oil. Traditionally used to soothe damaged and inflamed skin.

INCI: Helianthus annuus seed oil, calendula officinalis (calendula) extract
Description: A natural vegetable wax derived from the small candelilla shrub that grows in hot desert conditions. In nature, the wax functions as the plant's defence mechanism against severe weather conditions.
Usage: We use it as a skin protector, emollient and product thickener
INCI: Euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax
Description: A light, non-greasy oily liquid derived from coconuts. Fatty acids, caprylic acid and capric acid, are isolated and recombined with glycerin to form this ingredient.

Description: Extracted from carrot roots, the carotenoids in the oil give it a lovely orange color. Contains natural antioxidants to protect the skin from free radical damage.

INCI: Daucus carota sativa (carrot) root extract, daucus carota sativa seed (carrot) oil
Description: Pressed from the plant Ricinus Communis that's naturally found in Africa, India, and South America. The oil is thick and highly moisturizing. It has a high ricinoleic acid content, a potent antioxidant that protects the skin from free radical damage that causes collagen damage and wrinkles.
Usage: We use it as a skin protector, emollient and product thickener

Description: The cedar tree is native to North America and can live up to a 1,000 years. The bark and wood pieces are steam distilled to create an essential oil.

Description: A natural, olive oil-based emulsifier to combine oil and water

Description: A non-drying, waxy fatty alcohol that's derived from coconut, palm or other vegetable oil

Description: An essential oil derived from the leaves of cinnamon trees through a steam distillation process. It has a woody, spicy aroma that's less intense than the cinnamon bark variety.

Description: A weak organic acid that is used to make a formulation slightly more acidic

Description: An essential oil derived from the clove bud through steam distillation process. It has a woody, aromatic scent.

INCI: Eugenia caryophyllus (clove) oil
Description: A synthetic fatty acid made from coconuts. It has a creamy lather and boosts the foaming properties.
Usage: We use it as a co-surfactant
INCI: Cocamidopropyl betaine
Description: An edible butter found in the beans of the cacao tree. The butter makes up about 50% of cacao beans. Unrefined cocoa butter retains its characteristic cocoa scent. Cocoa butter is recommended for dry skin due to its rich moisturizing effect.

Description: A light, hydrating emollient that absorbs quickly without the greasy feeling. It is derived from coconuts by combining coconut alcohol with caprylic acid and capric acid.

Description: A unique vegetable oil that contains a wide range of fatty acids. Traditionally been used for its cosmetic and medicinal values to improve skin hydration and strengthen the hair.

Description: Cordyceps is a mushroom that's been long used in traditional Chinese medicine. The mushroom has a long, finger-like body and is usually a brown or orangish-brown color.

Description: Evening primrose is a yellow flowering plant that is native to North and South America. The oil is pressed from the seeds and contains omega-6 essential fatty acids; gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and linoleic acid (LA). GLA seems to relieve inflammation associated with eczema and arthritis.

Description: Glyerin, also known as glycerol, is a clear, odorless and colorless liquid with a sweet taste. Derived from plants, it helps to keep the skin and hair feeling soft and hydrated.

Description: A light and dry-feeling oil sustainably sourced from sugarcane

Description: A perennial herb also known as heart leaf. This plant grows in the wild and is native to Asia, where it is still traditionally used medicinally. One of the plant's active compound, flavonoids, is responsible for the plant's many biological properties, such as anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. The plant's anti-inflammatory feature inhibits the skin's pro-inflammatory markers, helping to relieve chronic inflammation seen in eczema cases.

Description: The hibiscus plant has exotic, vibrant petals that are fanned in the shape of a trumpet. It blooms in a variety of colours including red, pale yellow and pink. Hibiscus has anti-oxidant properties and inhibits elastin degradation. This helps to keep the skin's elasticity and provide anti-aging effects.

Description: A vegetable protein hydrolyzed from rice bran. It helps to improve the skin's moisture barrier and relieves dry skin.

Description: An evergreen shrub that grows in dry, arid climates. Although it's usually referred to as an oil, its chemical compounds likens it more to a liquid wax than an oil. It is lightweight, easily absorbed and very stable against oxidation.

Description: Beautifully bright, fragrant buds are characteristic of French lavender. Lavender is naturally calming, soothing and relaxing.

Description: French lavender is steam distilled to produce the essential oil. It has a calming, clean, fresh and floral scent.

Description: This probiotic is produced through the fermentation of the Lactobacillus microorganism. It helps to soothe and balance dry, tight skin.

Description: Licorice root extract is harvested by squeezing the roots of their juice and boiling it down. Glycyrrhizine, the active in licorice root extract, is known to have anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. It may also offer skin brightening benefits.

Description: A light, yellow oil pressed from macadamia seeds. The seeds contain approximately 75% of oil that have high amounts of palmitoleic acid.

Description: May chang comes from the pepper-like fruits of the Litsea Cubeba tree which is native to China, Indonesia and other areas of Southeast Asia. It has a vibrant aroma that is akin to a lemon sherbet.

Description: Oats are naturally rich in nutrients and vitamins and is gentle enough for sensitive, allergy or eczema-prone skin. Oats contain saponin that acts as a natural cleanser. It also can form an occlusive layer on the skin to retain moisture.

Description: Okra, also known as ladies' fingers, is classified as a fruit but is typically prepared as a vegetable. Its moisturizing benefits may help to promote the skin's natural hyaluronic acid biosynthesis.

Description: Derived from olives, this water-soluble ester helps to increase the mildness of soaps by protecting the skin's natural hydrolipid barrier.

Description: Panthenol, or vitamin B5, is a multi-functional ingredient used in hair products. It can improve the hair's shine, softness, and strength with its moisturization effects and detangling benefits.

Description: The peach tree is a fruit tree of the rose family that grows in warmer temperate regions. Rich in phenolic compounds, the leaves of the peach tree offers antioxidant activity. The extract also diminishes inflammation, soothes and calms sensitive skin.

Description: Phellodendron amurense is a plant that is native to East Asia. The oil extracted from the bark contains certain biologically active substances, including flavonoids, alkaloids and coumarins to help moisturise the skin suppress bacterial overgrowth.

Description: A polyglycerin ester that's completely based on renewable raw materials, i.e. on rapeseed, palm kernel oil.

Description: A nutrient dense plant, also commonly known as barbary fig seed oil. Native to Morocco and has been traditionally used by Berber women to keep their skin nourished in the harsh desert conditions.

Description: A colorless liquid that's naturally derived from corn glucose, or corn sugar.

Description: Harvested from the 'hip' of dog rose, a wild growing representative of the rose family. A unique oil due to the natural presence of tretinoin, a vitamin E derivative. Highly regarded for acne-prone skin and mature skin.

Description: Not only famous for its use in the kitchen, rosemary essential oil is also popularly used in aromatherapy and traditional medicine. It is claimed to have a calming effect for the scalp and is touted to improve circulation.

Description: A uniquely-shaped fruit that's native to Papua, Indonesia. It is a rich source of antioxidants and beta-carotene. Sourced sustainably to prevent deforestation.
Usage: We use it as a colorant
INCI: Pandanus conoideus lam (red fruit) oil
Description: A wild herb that's also known as Chinese foxglove. Used medicinally in Asia and grown ornamentally in gardens in Europe and North America. May help to reduce irritated skin by inhibiting enzyme activities that cause rashes.

INCI: Rehmannia chinensis root extract
Description: Found in the South of France near Grasse, the French capital of fragrances and flavours, the 'May Rose' is a unique variety of the Cabbage Rose (Rosa Centifolia). The May Rose is said to have a unique smell, sweet and very delicate, quite different from the big Bulgarian Rose or the small Moroccan Rose. They blossom only once a year in May, during three weeks, and are exclusively collected by hand.

Description: A gentle, aqueous solution that's derived from natural sources like coconut oil, fermented sugar, and palm oil. Its mild cleansing properties prevents the skin from drying out and keeps moisture levels intact.

Description: A mild surfactant that creates soft, creamy foam and is less damaging to the skin barrier than soaps and surfactants like sodium lauryl sulfate. It is naturally derived from coconuts.

Description: Pressed from sweet almond seeds, sweet almond oil has among the richest sources of oleic acid which is naturally useful for reducing signs of dryness.
Usage: We use it as a cleansing agent and skin conditioner
INCI: Amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil
Description: Derived from the shea tree seeds, which contains 50% butter. It has a high concentration of vitamins and fatty acids, making it a great moisturiser for all skin types. Unrefined shea butter has a strong door that has been compared to goats (!) but retains more of its nutritional properties than the refined version.

Description: A common saturated fatty-acid and is derived from palm oil

INCI: Stearic acid
Description: An essential oil derived from the peel of oranges. It has a citrusy, tart scent. Sweet orange is not considered phototoxic and can be safely used prior to sun exposure.
Usage: We use it as a fragrance

Description: Also known as Chinese skullcap and is a perennial herb in the Lamiaceae family. The main active ingredient of scutellaria baicalensis is flavonoids. The root extract is known to have anti-inflammatory properties to soothe irritated skin.
Usage: We use it as a skin conditioner and preservative booster

Description: Sodium PCA is the sodium salt of pyroglutamic acid. Pyroglutamic acid, or PCA, is a naturally occurring component of human skin and a part of the skin's natural moisturizing factors. Sodium PCA increases water content in the top layer of the skin by drawing moisture from the surrounding air to maintain a healthy epidermis.

Description: A mild surfactant formed by reacting fatty acids from olive oil esters with polyethylene glycol.
Usage: We use it as a co-surfactant
INCI: Sodium PEG-7 olive oil carboxylate
Description: A monoester of caprylic acid and hexitol anhydrides derived from sorbitol, or sugar alcohol. It's a multi-functional ingredient that help oil and water mix, thicken the consistency of formulations and boosts the effectiveness of preservatives.
Usage: We use it as a preservative booster

Description: Fat-soluble naturally occurring antioxidant that's also commonly referred to Vitamin E. We use tocopherols comprising of natural mixed tocopherol in sunflower seed oil. The esterified version i.e. tocopheryl acetate may also appear in our products.

Description: Tsubaki oil is pressed from the seeds of the bright, pretty flower. It is very similar to olive oil in terms of its fatty acid composition, high in monounsaturated fatty acids and oleic acid.

Description: Ylang-ylang is used widely in the perfumery and aromatherapy industry. It smells rich, deep and bright with hints of jasmine and neroli. It's sometimes described as heavy, sweet, and carries a slightly fruity floral scent.

Description: A popular citrus fruit in East Asia, yuzu fruit is more aromatic than other citrus fruits. The ceramide contained in the Yuzu extract improves the skin's barrier function, recovers rough skin and soothes skin irritation.
